Your billing period is calculated in 24-hour increments.
For example, if you pick up your rental at 10:00 AM, please return it by 10:00 AM on your due date to avoid additional charges. If you need extra time, Montego Bay Car Rental offers flexible extensions based on availability.

🛡️ Do I have to pay for insurance?

Yes. Third-Party Insurance (TPI) is required under Jamaican law — even if your credit card provides rental coverage.
For added protection, we recommend Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) or Full Coverage Insurance during your rental period.

🚨 What should I do if I’m involved in an accident?

If an accident occurs:

1. Dial 119 for emergency assistance (police/ambulance).

Jamaica’s General Consumption Tax (GCT) is 15% and will be clearly displayed on your booking summary.
There are no hidden fees — transparency is part of our promise.

🌞 Are the vehicles tinted?

Some vehicles include factory-tinted or lightly-tinted windows, while others are non-tinted.

🚗 Are your rental cars new or used?

Most vehicles in our fleet are three years old or newer. All rental cars are professionally maintained, inspected, and serviced to ensure reliability, comfort, and safety.

• Falmouth (Approx. 30 km east of MBJ)

⛽ Rental Terms & Fuel Policy

Do I have to pay for gas?

Yes. All vehicles are delivered with a full tank of fuel.
Please return the car with a full tank to avoid refueling charges and service fees.

Will I receive a refund if I return the car early?

Cash refunds are not provided for unused rental days.
However, a rental credit equal to the unused days may be offered at our discretion.

Rental credits:

• Expire after 365 days

• Are non-transferable

Can I request a manual transmission?

All of our rental cars are automatic transmission, ideal for Jamaica’s hills, traffic, and terrain.
If you want more power or performance, we recommend booking one of our SUV or premium models.
